Advil (Ibuprofen)

Ibuprofen is commonly used to ease pain caused by conditions such as headaches, dental discomfort, menstrual cramps, muscle soreness, and arthritis. It also helps lower fever and relieve minor aches linked to colds or flu. As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), ibuprofen works by reducing the production of substances in the body that trigger inflammation, which in turn lessens swelling, pain, and fever.
