Albumax (Human Normal Serum Albumin)

Human Normal Serum Albumin is a sterile, non-pyrogenic solution of human plasma protein used for restoration and maintenance of circulating blood volume. It is indicated in the treatment of shock, burns, hypoalbuminemia, and other conditions where plasma volume or albumin levels need to be replenished.

Main Uses:

• Treatment of hypovolemia and shock due to blood loss or burns
• Management of hypoalbuminemia associated with liver disease, nephrotic syndrome, or malnutrition
• Supportive therapy in cardiac surgery, trauma, and plasma exchange
• Used as a plasma volume expander in critical care settings

Contraindications:

• Severe anemia or heart failure (where increased blood volume is contraindicated)
• Known hypersensitivity to human albumin products
• Hypervolemia or severe dehydration (without simultaneous fluid replacement)
