BBraun (Metronidazole)

Metronidazole is used to treat and prevent infections caused by metronidazole-susceptible anaerobic bacteria in adults and children. It's prescribed for conditions like CNS infections, lung infections, endocarditis, GI tract infections, gynaecological infections, and bone/joint infections. In mixed infections, it's used with antibiotics for aerobic bacteria. Prophylactic use is recommended for high-risk surgeries.
