Cabazitaxel is an antineoplastic agent used in combination with corticosteroids to treat metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer in patients previously treated with a docetaxel-containing treatment regimen.

Main Uses

Used in combination with prednisone for treatment of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) in patients previously treated with a docetaxel-containing regimen.

Contraindications / Precautions

Hypersensitivity to cabazitaxel or other taxanes
Severe hepatic impairment
Neutrophil count ≤ 1,500/mm³
Patients with poor performance status (frail/very weak patients)
