Calmoseptine (Zinc Oxide + Calamine)

Calmoseptine is a moisture barrier ointment that provides a protective layer on the skin, helping to prevent and heal skin irritation. It contains zinc oxide (which soothes and protects skin) and menthol (which provides a cooling, anti-itch effect).

Main Uses 

• Protection and relief of skin irritation caused by:
  • Diaper rash
  • Feces or urine (incontinence-associated dermatitis)
  • Minor burns, cuts, or scrapes
  • Ostomy sites
  • Pressure sores (bedsores)
  • Eczema, pruritus, and skin chafing
• Provides a moisture barrier that shields skin from further damage.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to zinc oxide, menthol, or any of the ointment’s components
• Should not be applied to deep wounds or severe burns without medical supervision
• Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes

Dosage: Cleanse skin, pat dry and apply 2-4 times daily or as necessary to promote comfort and protection.
