Epovax (Recombinant Human Erythropoietin Alfa)

Recombinant Human Erythropoietin Alfa is an erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA) that promotes the production of red blood cells. It is indicated for the treatment of anemia associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD), chemotherapy, and other medical conditions that cause reduced red blood cell counts. By stimulating erythropoiesis, it helps improve oxygen transport throughout the body and reduce fatigue in patients with anemia.

Main Use:

• Treatment of anemia due to chronic kidney disease (CKD)
• Anemia associated with chemotherapy in cancer patients
• To reduce the need for blood transfusions in anemic individuals

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to erythropoietin or any component of the formulation
• Uncontrolled hypertension
• Pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) following erythropoietin therapy
• Use with caution in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or thromboembolic disorders
