Floezy (Tamsulosin)

Tamsulosin, an alpha-1 adrenergic blocker used in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It works by relaxing the muscles of the prostate and bladder neck, making it easier to urinate and reducing symptoms such as weak urine flow, frequent urination, and incomplete bladder emptying.

Main Uses

• Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Contraindications

Tamsulosin should not be used in:

• Individuals with a history of orthostatic hypotension (sudden drop in blood pressure on standing).
• Patients with severe liver impairment (use with caution).
• Should not be combined with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole) unless prescribed.
