Form & Size

Mechanism of Action:

Enoxaparin works by inactivating specific blood-clotting proteins (primarily Factor Xa and Thrombin), which interrupts the blood coagulation process. This prevents new clots from forming and stops existing ones from growing larger.

Form:
It is typically available as a clear, colorless to pale yellow sterile solution in pre-filled syringes for subcutaneous injection (under the skin). It must not be injected into a muscle.

Manufacturer:
Lomoh is manufactured by Emcure Pharmaceuticals Ltd..

Prescription:
It is a prescription drug and should be used under proper medical guidance and advice.
Key Uses
Lomoh is prescribed for several conditions involving blood clots, including:
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): Prevention and treatment of blood clots that form in the deep veins, usually in the legs.

Pulmonary Embolism (PE):
Management of blood clots that travel to the lungs.
Post-Surgery Prophylaxis: Used as a precautionary measure for patients undergoing surgeries (e.g., hip or knee replacement, abdominal surgery) who may be immobile for a period.

Cardiovascular Conditions:
Used in combination with aspirin to prevent complications from unstable angina (chest pain due to reduced blood flow to the heart) and certain types of heart attacks (myocardial infarction).
Important Considerations

Administration:
The injection is typically administered by a healthcare professional, though self-administration may be advised in some cases after thorough instruction.
Side Effects: Common side effects can include bleeding, bruising, pain or redness at the injection site, and headache. Severe bleeding is a potential risk.

Contraindications:
Lomoh may not be suitable for individuals with active bleeding, severe kidney or liver problems, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (low platelet count).
Interactions: It interacts with other medicines that increase the risk of bleeding, such as other anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents (like aspirin), and NSAIDs (like ibuprofen).

Always consult with a doctor or pharmacist for medical advice regarding this medication, as self-medication can be dangerous.
