Isosorbide Mononitrate works by dilating (widening) the blood vessels, which helps to increase blood flow and reduce the workload on the heart. This dilation of blood vessels results in reduced pressure in the heart and improved oxygen supply to the heart muscle, which can alleviate symptoms of angina.
