Rotarix (Live Attenuated Rotavirus)

Live Attenuated Rotavirus Vaccine is an oral vaccine designed to protect infants and young children from rotavirus gastroenteritis — a common cause of severe diarrhea and vomiting. The vaccine contains a live attenuated strain of human rotavirus that stimulates the body’s immune response without causing the disease. Main Use:

Contraindications:

• History of intussusception
• Severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID)
• Acute severe febrile illness or gastrointestinal disorder at the time of vaccination
