SII Absorbed Tetanus Toxoid is a sterile vaccine prepared from purified tetanus toxin inactivated with formaldehyde and adsorbed onto aluminum phosphate. It is indicated for active immunization against tetanus in children and adults, and for booster doses or post-exposure prophylaxis following tetanus-prone injuries.

Main Uses:

Primary immunization against tetanus in infants, children, and adults
Booster immunization to maintain long-term immunity
Post-exposure prophylaxis after contaminated wounds, burns, or injuries
Used in routine immunization programs and emergency wound management

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to tetanus toxoid or any vaccine component (e.g., aluminum phosphate, formaldehyde)
Severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of tetanus vaccine
Acute febrile illness – vaccination should be postponed until recovery
