Sterifix (Infusion Filter)

The 0.2 µm infusion filter is an essential component for IV sets, designed to retain particles, bacteria, and fungi while eliminating air. Utilizing Supor® membrane technology with an effective filtration area of 10 cm2 made from Polyethersulfone (PES), it helps prevent particulate and microbiological contamination, reducing the risk of medication errors and potential incompatibility reactions. The filter's low protein binding property enhances its safety profile, while its venting function, featuring two 0.02 μm hydrophobic PTFE membranes, effectively prevents air embolism regardless of the filter's position. With luer lock fittings on both sides and available in different tubing diameters, this filter offers versatility and compatibility. Technical specifications include a priming volume of 2.4 ml, a flow rate of 20 ml/min, and pressure resistance up to 2 bar, ensuring reliable performance. Additionally, it is available in PVC and DEHP-free versions, suitable for up to 24 hours of use, providing a critical solution for medical infusion applications.
