Supraphil (Cefixime)

Cefixime is a third-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, making it effective against many Gram-negative and some Gram-positive bacteria. It is available in tablet and suspension forms.

Main Uses 

• Respiratory tract infections (bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis)
• Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
• Otitis media (middle ear infection)
• Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
• Typhoid fever (in endemic areas)
• Gonorrhea (uncomplicated cases)

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to cefixime or other cephalosporins
• Severe allergic reaction history to penicillins or other β-lactam antibiotics
